THE DEN COCKTAIL No. 4 || COSMIC EGGNOG

Christmas came in June this year as we reclaimed the winter nights and set a whole bunch of things on fire in the name of aromatic delicious cocktails.

Ace barkeep of The Den Jess Robinson conceived this cocktail - the Cosmic Eggnog (the fourth chapter of our The Den x Dark Mofo cocktail series presented over the past few weeks) - using our Swiss Single Malts, Marionette Curacao, and Phantom Spirits Guatemalan Rum. It's super easy to make, here's how.

Ingredients;

15ml Santis Malt Edition Himmelberg

15ml Phantom Spirits Vanilla Shake Rum

15ml Marionette Orange Curacao

15ml Santis Malt Edition Marwees Whisky Cream Liqueur

15ml Mace Syrup

1 egg

To make at home;

Combine all ingredients and shake without ice, then add lots of ice and give a good hard shake for 45 seconds.

Strain into a cold glass, no ice.

Light a flame and throw powdered cinnamon at the drink. This gives a great show and delicious aromatic quality to the top of the drink.

For the mace syrup, create a simple syrup (1:1 sugar:water by mass) and add a few pieces of dried mace. Heat gently and then leave the mace inside while you store the syrup in the fridge to use when necessary.
