There’s a bit of a celebration going on down on Hobart’s Waterfront at the moment. The newest addition to the urban sprawl, MACq01, is turning one and we were delighted to work with the incredible Bar Manager at Story Bar, Jakob Etzold, on a signature cocktail that is as polished, beautiful and unique as the fabulous hotel. 

Fittingly named, One On One, this cocktail is a fresh and light aperitif. A real crowd pleaser with something for everyone, the One On One is slightly bitter (thanks Rondò!), slightly fizzy and slightly fruity. Rondò, gin and citrus combine with Tasmanian sparkling ensuring this celebratory drink is the perfect welcome cocktail.

To make at home;

25ml Gin

25ml Rondo Aperitivo Bio (get your hands on some below)

25ml Lemon juice

50ml Sparkling wine

Combine gin, Rondo and lemon juice in a shaker with ice and give a good long shake. Pour over sparkling wine into a cocktail glass and serve with a dehydrated rhubarb chip (or lemon rind if you're lacking in the dehydrated fruit department).
