Photos taken from our recent visit to the wonderful and hospitable lads at Argala. Pastis means 'a mess' or cloud, louche, haze, in Occitan, the native language of the guys in the valley. Enrico and Piero from Argala have mastered this anise-based aperitif after much trial and tasting. Nebla on the white label is the first batch of Pastis they made. Nebla means 'cloud. By coincidence, Piero's last name Nuvoloni-Bonnet also means cloud-hat!
