James started his bar work while studying a BA media and communication at Macquarie University, learning cocktails in a few small bars before becoming the bartender at The Bentley Sydney. Moving to management with the Merivale group he got to hone his chops with venues like Ms.Gs', The Fish Shop and El Loco.

Moving towards some lateral projects, he worked as operations manager for Australia's first crowd funded bar concept IconPark, then managed the restaurant Stanley St Merchants, winners of the space. James now works for the soda barons and cocktail kings at PS40.

With a can-do attitude and a smile that could kill a Kodiak, James is the guy you'll see trawling the streets of Sydney with a bottle of Rondò in one hand, shaking yours with the other.
